Dtalkz ("we," "us," or "our") is a debate and discussion platform designed for users aged 13 and above, available on the Google Play Store in India. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Aadhaar Act, 2016, and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

By using Dtalkz, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Data

At registration, we collect your phone number, first name, last name, username, and an optional profile picture to create and manage your account.

1.2 User Content

Text posts, audio/video debate recordings, and debate details such as topic, category, language, time, and invited participants.

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

Usage data (debates joined, posts viewed), device info (model, OS, IP, unique IDs), and streaming metrics collected via Google Analytics, Firebase, and Agora.io.

2. How We Use Your Data

Verify your identity using OTP-based authentication.
Enable creation, participation, and broadcasting of audio/video debates.
Personalize your experience based on language and interests.
Send notifications (opt-out available in settings) about debates, schedules, or updates.
Analyze usage for app improvements.
Comply with applicable Indian laws and regulatory requirements.

3. How We Share Your Data

With Other Users: Username, profile image (if any), posts, and live debate content are visible.
With Service Providers: Limited data with trusted partners like Agora.io, AWS, Firebase/Google Analytics under data protection agreements.
For Legal Reasons: Disclosure as required by Indian law or court/legal requests.
In Business Transactions: Data may be transferred on merger, acquisition, or sale under lawful safeguards.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices via AWS and allied services to safeguard data.

5. Data Retention

Retain personal data while account is active or required by law.
Debate content and posts retained for community continuity unless deleted upon request.
Aggregated/anonymized data may be kept for analytics.

6. Your Rights

Access, correct, or delete personal data.
Opt out of marketing notifications via app settings.
Request data portability where feasible.
Request account/data deletion by emailing dtalkzinfo@gmail.com with subject "Account Deletion Request."

Verified user data may be retained as legally required.

7. Age Restriction

For users 13 years or older only.
Accounts under age 13 will be deleted upon discovery.

8. Third-Party Services

Uses Agora.io, AWS, Firebase, Google Analytics; their independent privacy policies apply.

9. Data Transfer Outside India

Data may be stored/processed outside India (e.g., AWS global servers) with safeguards as per Indian law.

10. Prohibited Content and Child Safety

Dtalkz prohibits any upload, sharing, or distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or content linked to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Violations lead to account suspension and possible reporting to authorities.

11. Policy Updates

Updates posted in-app, major changes notified via alert or email.
Continued use after updates means acceptance.
